Dexter Handling Workshop

Julia Eden is a South Island breeder and winner of some prestigious Dexter trophies over many years.  Julia, and DCSNZ council member Marion Corbett, are willing to come up and give us a full-day workshop on how to handle cattle.  This is intended not just for people that wish to show their cattle, but also for those who move cattle around their property, onto a horse float etc.  Everyone is welcome to attend, whether they are in the Wellington/Wairarapa area or not.

The tentative date is Saturday 18th February 2012 at my property in Upper Hutt.  At this time we need confirmation of the numbers that would be interested in attending, and if we get at least 10, it will be all go.  The charge would be $20 per person, and there would be a shared meal for lunch.  The $20 charge would go towards the cost of travel expenses for Julia and Marion.

I will have at least one animal on my property at that time that has been trained and handled at shows, and hopefully I will have three 4-month old calves as well, so there should be something for everyone.  If you are interested in coming to this once-in-a-blue-moon event, please contact me ASAP.  Or just ask if you need more information.
